Nutrition Consultation (75 minutes)

A 75 minute consultation in which we will jump start your health improvements by making several upgrades to your current diet, lifestyle and supplement plan. The goal is to begin ridding your body of excess while simultaneously filling in nutritional deficiencies to start shifting your biochemistry immediately. During our hour and fifteen minute consultation we will discuss your unique situation in-depth and determine how to help you reach your personal goals. You will leave with 5-7 diet and lifestyle action items and a customized supplement plan to immediately start improving your health.

Personalized Nutrition Program (90 day program)

In a personalized program lasting three months, we will radically improve your health and happiness by correcting imbalances and chronic issues, incorporating new and exciting foods into your diet, and making positive lifestyle changes that are supportive to the way you really want to live in order to thrive. Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance.

  • A 75 Minute Nutrition Consultation to evaluate and upgrade your current diet, lifestyle and supplement plan.
  • 2-50 minute sessions per month
    • A comprehensive hour and a half health food tour to introduce you to all kinds of foods you otherwise might not know what to do with or why they are good for you. You will leave with many new food options to increase your healthy choices without compromising taste. The tour also covers holistic remedies for major health concerns using food.
    • Email support to answer questions or to help you overcome challenges in between sessions.
    • Additional information including but not limited to hand outs, recipes, books, and samples.

About Christa

Christa Orecchio is a Clinical Nutritionist and Holistic Health Counselor. She established The Whole Journey in 2005 to help people live healthier, happier and more energetic lives through whole food nutrition, high quality and targeted supplementation and healthy lifestyle guidance. She has studied prevailing dietary theories and clinical aspects of health and nutrition. Christa holds a B.S. in International Business and Spanish from the University of North Carolina. Christa graduated from The Natural Healing Insititute and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in NYC, accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

Christa has been regularly featured as a nutrition expert on ABC news, San Diego 6 and KUSI news, as well as newspapers and magazines including The Union Tribune, Ranch and Coast and Encinitas Magazine. She is a monthly contributor to TriVita Magazine’s national nutrition column as well as a guest contributor to Fitness Magazine, The Miami and San Diego Examiner and various other national publications.

Whole Journey Philosophy

The Whole Journey philosophy is unique in that it does not advocate any one specific way of eating. Christa believes that every individual has distinct dietary needs based upon genetics, lifestyle, gender, blood type, stress levels, activity levels, current state of health and future health goals. Therefore, she focuses on bio-individuality, while imparting a positive and empowering perspective shift around food that results in greater lifelong food flexibility. Each program is uniquely tailored to the individual to holistically heal common chronic health concerns and to reach health and fitness goals.

While most dieticians dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictions and lists of good and bad foods, The Whole Journey philosophy is to provide clients with the ‘tools’ to create a happy, healthy and holistic life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of willpower and denial.

A true holistic approach to life incorporates things that nourish other than food, including honest and open relationships, a meaningful spiritual practice, a career that inspires you, and physical activity that you enjoy. These elements are called Primary Food. As a Health Counselor, Christa will work with you to help you find balance in both Primary Foods and the foods you eat on a daily basis. She will guide you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals.
